Look Up a Bible Word: Have you ever wanted a quick way to look up a certain word in the Bible to find a verse that is just on the tip of your memory? Here is a website that does just that. Click here for TopVerses.com. The website is based on the Word English Bible and shows the top verses accessed, the top books, and the top verses by book.

ADULT BIBLE STUDY
Tuesday Parish Bible Study: 7:00 – 8:30 p.m. at Bethlehem — beginning a Biblical referenced study of The Shack - written by Wm. Paul Young! The following are some of Paul's statements from his blogspot, http://windrumors.com/
The Shack was a story written for my six children, with no thought or intention to publish. It is as much a surprise to me as to anyone else that I am now an ‘author’. The journey has been both incredible and unbearable, a desperate grasping after grace and wholeness. Facts alone might help you understand where a person has been, but often hide who they actually are. For me, everything is about Jesus and Father and the Holy Spirit, and relationships, and life is an adventure of faith lived one day at a time. I have finally figured out that I have nothing to lose by living a life of faith. I know more joy every minute of every day than seems appropriate, but I love the wastefulness of my Papa’s grace and presence. For me, everything in my life that matters, is perfect!
The book will soon be appearing in more than 30 languages around the world and in audio versions in many countries as well.
Invitation: Please join us at Bethlehem church on Tuesdays for this powerful book study! This study is a read-as-you-go, so you don't need to have read the entire book before you come to the study. It is broken into sections with the first section covering the Foreword and first chapter of the book. It includes thought provoking questions that will encourage group discussion interspersed with relevant Bible passages. Bring your Bibles and The Shack (borrow one if you don't have it); come and join us for coffee and study The Shack! Join us if you can - everyone is welcome!

Bible Books of the Month Club
You’ve heard of Book of the Month Clubs – why not start a Bible Books of the Month Club in your congregation?? Lord of Life Lutheran, Canfield, Ohio, hosts a “Bible Books of the Month Club,” where participants read specific books of the Bible during a given month. By the end of 12 months, reading approximately 100 pages per month, the entire Bible can be read. Questions are provided for readers to consider as they go through each book. Participants are asked to join, and given information on Bible translations, and a reading guide, along with laminated bookmarks listing the assigned readings for each month.

Another “Read the Bible in One Year Plan” is available on the ELCA Web site, archive.elca.org/bible/oneyear. Be sure to check out the many resources available through the ELCA’s Book of Faith initiative, too. Don’t wait – start now to organize your Bible study group!
